Bangkok under state of emergency
A major Asian summit was cancelled due to protests in the capital Bangkok and its surrounding areas. The authorities of Thai have declared an emergency in the capital. The protests surrounded the interior ministry after which the soldiers fired warning shots to deter them but did not take any effort to stop them. The Prime Minister had escaped by car. Later, when the Prime minister vowed to prosecute them, the leader of the protests was arrested. Anti-government protesters blocked access to government offices and also have vowed to continue the protests till Mr.Abhisit, the Prime minister resigns.
